It's Getting Colder Here!

Today we saw the first snow of the season! It was way up high on the mountain, but still...we're really, really close. I guess sooner or later we'll have that snow move down the mountain and wish that it went back up...

Eric got a job!! I'm no longer part of the unemployed and non-productive population - wait a minute, I've never been a Democrat...oh, sorry. Anyway, I was hired for a part-time position with the Washington County School District as the disaster manager - the same job I'd been doing for the last 10 years before I retired. I'm coordinating the goals and objectives a federal grant and as soon as the grant is over the position's funding expires. Not bad, eh? Now there's a chance that funding may continue beyond the grant but that's a decision that will be made down the road.

The progress on the house is moving right along. The windows and exterior doors - also known as "man doors" - are all in, the roof is done, electric and plumbing are in and we're almost ready to insulate, drywall and poor concrete for the driveway. We are SO excited and hope that the workers will work 24 hours a day!

Be sure to check out David's Mission Blog - I've posted some photos of David in the mission field.
