4th of July in Boise

We ventured to the thriving metropolis of Boise, Idaho for the 4th of July - we visited Susan's family who all managed to be there at the same time! We had a great time, excluding of course the round trip drive, but being with family for Independence Day was a lot of fun and made the trip worth while.

One thing that was accomplished was Daniel having an opportunity to get some first hand information from his cousin Christopher about his fast approaching trip to South Carolina for Basic Training. Daniel reports to Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina this next week. We put him on an airplane on Monday and then sometime over the next few days he finally arrives to be tortured and drilled over and over by Army Drill Sergeants.

We've spend the last several weeks landscaping our home. I knew that such a job would be a lot of work but JEEZ...we've been working our butts off. Okay, maybe not working them off, I still have a little left that fills my jeans. But there sure was a lot of work. We've divided the lot into several sections and are tackling them one at a time. The photo I've posted is section one....of about 5....sigh....
