It occurred to me that it's been a month since I updated this blog or David's blog. We've been so busy moving in that time has just flown by! Well...we're not completely moved in yet. This week we finally moved the piano from storage and almost all of our food storage is still there. I've been dreading the piano move but maybe now that that's behind us the rest of our stuff will come over faster.
I hate to be the guy to admit this, but it seems that the little dog that I don't like - actually we have a mutual dislike for each other - earned her keep. We're not sure where they came from but we discovered mice in the garage. Well, to be honest, Susan found the mouse, or perhaps it was the other way around. Daniel and I heard a squeal from garage not once, but twice in the last week. Susan had seen what turned out to be little mice - but based on Susan's description of the awful creature we expected to see one of those giant rats you see in horror movies. Well, what better venue for a Rat Terrier than this? The photos document Lucy's ability to live up to her breed.
Well, to make a long and rather gross story shorter - although it was rather humorous for a guy - we think we ended the mouse scourge at number 6. All we can figure out is that the mice came over with the boxes that were in storage. However, I can say is that sticky traps and a crescent wrench are powerful tools in the fight against vermin!!
Next week I'll post the "final" pictures of the house. The photos we've taken aren't very good as our camera doesn't take very good pictures unless the sun is shinning directly on the object.
