I finally did it...I retired in April after more than 30 years in uniform. My old department, including many of my friends from LA, threw me a retirement party that was a LOT of fun.
As promised - we moved from our Fremont, California home to a rental in Cedar City, Utah shortly after retiring. We began building our dream home in Kanarraville just south of Cedar City. Within a week of arriving in Utah Eric kept another promise. When asked what his plans for retirement included the answer was usually, "going fishing!" Well...that was one promise that was VERY easy to keep.
So far two full fishing days have been spent at Navajo Lake about 15 miles up the mountain. A whole lot closer and much better than fishing in California!
